When you are going for a car trip in the UK or Europe something that makes a lot easier is having a good car navigator.

1) 3D-view - where you see junctions etc as they look in real life,
2) speed limits so you know the speed of any bit of road,
3) a great number of (millions) POIs (Points of interest - or attractions/places),
4) a big screen - often 4-5 inches,
5) bluetooth, so you can use the GPS as a handsfree,
6) maps for the entire Europe (please note that some only come with UK maps!).
Please ensure that the model you buy has newer maps and/or that upgrades are included in the package.
