  • Excellent monochrome results, Vivid natural colours, Impressive detail levels, Quiet print engine,
Good print quality, 2pl droplet size, Up to A3 prints, Convenient cartridge arrangement, We really love this printer. The prints are some of the best we have seen from any digital printer. Colours are rich and accurate to the original photo, And the finish is second to none. Only when using a loupe can you tell the difference between the prints from the R3000 and a traditional dark room print. With professional printers, You usually have to sacrifice usability for features, But not so, Exceptional print quality, Wide paper support, Ethernet por, Good quality colour prints up to A3 size, WiFi option is welcome, Excellent photo quality, WiFi, Ethernet, Quiet, You can print on various papers, Matte black and glossy installed automatically, Large capacity cartridges (25.9 ml)
  • Larger capacity ink cartridges don't bring huge savings, Print speeds are a tad sluggish, Ink costs,
Not a massive improvement over the R2880, There is very little to physically fault the R3000 with. However it is not perfect. The printer uses high capacity ink cartridges, Which do allow for more cost effective printing, But don’t expect refilling this printer to be cheap. Single inks cost somewhere in the region of £25 and there are 9 of them! That said, If you are professional photographer selling prints to clients or via public showin, Lots of things are fiddly, No Photoshop CS5.1 or 64bit support, Nine inks make running costs expensive., Poor responsiveness, Waste of black ink as 2 black cartridges share the same print head, Pricey

Good:  Excellent monochrome results, Vivid natural colours, Impressive detail levels, Quiet print engine
Bad:  Larger capacity ink cartridges don't bring huge savings, Print speeds are a tad sluggish
Bottomline:  The larger-capacity ink cartridges haven't reduced print costs by much and the print engine could be a tad faster, but the Epson R3000 produces excellent results on both colour and monochrome prints, delivering images with rich contrast and beautifully...

Good:  Good print quality, 2pl droplet size, Up to A3 prints, Convenient cartridge arrangement
Bad:  Ink costs, Not a massive improvement over the R2880
Bottomline:  For many enthusiast photographers Epson's Stylus Photo R2880 is the printer they use, or aspire to using. Though it produces excellent prints, it suffers from two often cited problems, both of which the new R3000 addresses. The first of these is that a...

Bottomline:  This printer is not cheap, pricing itself at just under £700, however if you have need for a professional quality, quick printer the Espon Stylus Photo R3000 is the best we have reviewed. If you make money selling photographic prints in any way, or jus...

Good:  Good quality colour prints up to A3 size; WiFi option is welcome,
Bad:  Nine inks make running costs expensive.
Bottomline:  The R3000's nine pigments will be welcomed by some, and detested by others. Although the shared feed between Photo Black and Matt Black does appear a bit of a botch job - particularly given the need to flush the system between uses - it's a nice option...

Good:  Excellent photo quality, WiFi, ethernet, quiet, You can print on various papers, Matte black and glossy installed automatically, Large capacity cartridges (25.9 ml)
Bad:  Poor responsiveness, Waste of black ink as 2 black cartridges share the same print head, Pricey
Bottomline:  The R3000 keeps its promise of excellence when it comes to photo prints. It brings in a new interface, bigger capacity cartridges and improved connectivity. Its purchase price and consumables mean that it's destined for pro users....

Bottomline:  For those who are not too concerned with making lots of prints in a kind of rapid-fire throughput, but who still want to make as good quality 13x19” prints as many (more expensive) pro-style printers, the R3000 will do the job nicely. Like I said, it’s...

Bottomline:  The R3000 handled everything we threw at it. And we threw everything at it. But "handled" doesn't quite cover it. Whether it was the help system accessed from the LCD or the front-loading thick media paper path or the generous ink capacity, the R3000 ...
